The 40-Wonderful Self-Portrait Project

Turning 41-years-old found me with an idea to do a self-portrait project to explore my identity as a middle-aged woman. It wasn't the first time I had created self-portraits. This time, I was leaning into who I was in that year. Between 2023-2024, the project found me digging into who I am and provided space for my creativity to play with my "40-Wonderful Portrait Project." This sprung the "What Are You?" triptych that following year. Here are are selected self-portraits from the series.
